North Shore favorites
Tupper Manor at the Wylie Inn (Beverly) — beautiful estate venue with multiple rooms; we love the flow from cocktail hour to reception and the indoor/outdoor flexibility. Photo booth typically lives in the foyer or sun room.
Hawthorne Hotel (Salem) — historic ballroom with high ceilings; great acoustics for DJ but plan booth placement carefully because the layout is long and narrow.
Cruiseport Gloucester — waterfront venue with lots of windows and a clean, open floorplan. Excellent for both 360 booths and DJ setups; the room takes uplighting beautifully.
Hellenic Center Ipswich — large, flexible space, popular for big weddings. Plenty of room for booth and DJ without competing for space.
South Shore favorites
The Lighthouse at Cedar Point (Scituate) — coastal, intimate, and tented receptions are common here. Plan power and tented coverage for the booth in advance.
Hingham Shipyard / Atlantica — waterfront venue with a built-in vibe. Great for sunset photo booth backdrops on the deck during cocktail hour.
Indian Pond Country Club (Kingston) — classic country club with a large ballroom; we set up booth and DJ side-by-side easily here.
Pinehills Golf Club (Plymouth) — flexible indoor/outdoor space, popular for both ceremony and reception. Good DJ acoustics in the main ballroom.
Cambridge & Boston
The Liberty Hotel (Boston) — historic and dramatic; the Alibi/Yard space is a fun fit for 360 booths during cocktail hour. DJ setups need to plan around tighter footprints.
Royal Sonesta (Cambridge) — riverside with great light and modern reception spaces. Easy load-in, great power, and the layout is friendly to both DJ and booth.
Charles Hotel (Cambridge) — refined, classic, and consistently well-organized for vendors. Excellent for couples who want a polished, downtown wedding.
State Room (Boston) — top-floor city views; the booth photographs beautifully with the skyline behind it.
Cape Cod & coastal
Wequassett Resort (Harwich) — full-service luxury resort. Great place for a multi-day wedding weekend; booth often runs through welcome events and the reception.
The Coonamessett (Falmouth) — modern coastal vibe with strong indoor/outdoor flow. Easy for DJ load-in; flower wall booths look incredible here.
Cape Cod private estates — many Cape weddings happen at private homes with tents. The biggest planning items are power, weather coverage, and arrival timing on summer Saturdays.
What to ask any venue before you book entertainment
- Where can the photo booth and DJ be set up, and is that location within reach of dedicated power?
- What time can vendors load in? (Earlier is always easier for booth setup.)
- Are there sound restrictions, and is there a noise curfew?
- Will the venue provide tables for the DJ, booth attendant, and prop station?
- Does the venue require a Certificate of Insurance from each vendor?
