What a 360 booth actually does
A 360 booth is a small platform (usually 32 inches across) with a camera arm that rotates around guests, capturing slow-motion vertical video. The output is a 10–15 second clip optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and Reels. Guests stand on the platform, the arm spins, and the booth's software handles slow-motion, music, and overlays automatically.
What it's good for: high-energy events, brand activations, mitzvahs, and any event where the goal is shareable social content. The line at a 360 booth stays long all night.
What a traditional booth does
A traditional photo booth — open-air, mirror, or enclosed — captures still photos and prints them on the spot. Mirror booths add a touch-screen interface with animations and signing. Open-air booths use a backdrop plus a camera and work great for large groups (up to 10 people in one shot).
What it's good for: weddings where guests want a printed keepsake, corporate events where you want a branded photo-strip giveaway, and any event where the prints become part of the decor or guestbook.
Side-by-side comparison
- Output: 360 = video clips. Traditional = photos and (optional) prints.
- Capacity: 360 = ~30 sessions/hour. Traditional = ~60 prints/hour.
- Group size: 360 = 1–4 people per session. Traditional open-air = up to 10.
- Footprint: 360 = ~10x10 ft. Mirror/open-air = ~8x8 ft.
- Best for: 360 = social-first events, brands, mitzvahs. Traditional = weddings, milestone birthdays, corporate keepsakes.
- Add-ons: 360 supports custom music and overlays; traditional supports prints, props, and guest sign-in books.
Can you have both?
Yes — and a lot of weddings and corporate events do. A 360 booth at cocktail hour and a mirror or open-air booth during the reception is a common combo. Guests get the printed keepsake and the shareable video, and you avoid one booth becoming a bottleneck.
When you bundle multiple booths with us, pricing is more efficient than booking each separately. Tell us your event size and we'll suggest a setup that won't overcomplicate the room.
What it costs
Prices vary by date, location, run-time, and add-ons. 360 booths and mirror booths sit at similar price points; open-air booths are typically the most affordable entry point. Send us your event details and we'll quote real numbers — usually within a few hours.
